Sunday Coupons

This week, we'll be learning some of the basics of couponing. But here's your first assignment: pick up a Sunday paper and save the coupons. The Sunday newspaper is the most valuable source of coupons you will get. This is what I do:

• Purchase multiple copies
• Clip the ones I know I'll use
• File the rest in a file folder labeled with the day's date

Most Dollar Stores carry the newspaper for $1, and around here, Menards sells it for $1 too. The larger metropolitan area newspapers (i.e. The Chicago Tribune or New York Times) usually carry the higher value coupons, so opt for one of these if you can.

To receive a $5 coupon for Glucerna cereal, call 877-879-4857. It's an automated call and will only take you a few minutes to leave your name and address. You should receive your coupon within 3-4 weeks. These cereals are often priced around $5, so you should be able to pick one up for free!

For those of you who live near Kroger, it's been reported that if you purchase two boxes, a "$2.50 off your next purchase" coupon will print.

It wasn't until last August when I started more seriously using coupons that I learned about these soaps. I've been picking them up free ever since! Typically, they can be found at Wal-Mart or Target for about $0.97. On a side note, when my friend Kim told me last week about this website, I was glad to find out that these have a fairly good rating!
